after transmission fluid service it is not shifting

I have a 1986 GMC 1/2 ton 4wd. I just did a transmission service on it and the next day I lost reverse and third gear. Would this be caused by the governors in the transmission? The transmission is a TH400 that has been sitting for roughly 10 years. The transmission was taken out of a truck in the hedge row and place into an everyday driver

you should really put the question in the question area. check for being low n fluid. if it's around two quarts low then it's toast. you might check the filter because ther eis an o-ring around it and if it doesnt' seal good it causesair to get in and do that. and it may be a bad seal or the low reverse clutch is out as well asn teh direct clutch.
