Started misfiring.(turned on and ran before I messed with it.) Changed. Distributor cap, rotor and wireset. Won't turn on now. Is my timing off? When I try starting I get a few pops.?? I aligned the rotor with crank I don't know if I'm 180 off? And does it matter the length of wires??? I have a few short and a few long and a few med. Size.

Also I forgot truck is 6cylinder 2.8liter. Clockwise is rotation on rotor and is 1,3,5 on left right is 2,4,6 facing front of vehicle.

why did you remove the distributor???

roy. I did not say I removed dis. I only removed cap and rotor and wireset. are we criticizing here? Or helping geeeze just trying to get some help.

If you have your rotor button turned 180 degrees off, then it will not start up. Simply try removing the rotor button and turn it 180 degrees and then try starting it.
