1986 Buick Century rear window defroster

problem is i checked all the fuses(i have no owners manual ), the rear window switch does make a click sound and sounds like it works but the light doesnt come on.Was wondering if it was there is an inline fuse,sounds like the switch works...but light doesnt, or does the elements just go bad

Are you saying the rear defogger doesn't work? Note the diagram. As long as the grid has continuity, plus voltage and ground, it should work. As far as checking fuses also check that the fuse circuit has voltage.
