unable to get 5th gear

my fixer man said the relay to get 5th gear is burnt out he tells me a new one is very expensive and he cant find a second hand one have you any idear where i should try i live in far west new south wales australia.

i meant to say i found places on internet selling relay for $50. do a search for volvo relay.
