Ball joints are a little loose

Cj medevac, I have another question since the last one kinda was pointless for now. Anyhow the front passenger upper ball joint is starting to get a little loose. I need this one fixed aswell I am going to get both upper and lower. I am just looking for a list of tools required and again the best options for the parts themselves. Again I am not looking to put junk on my rig I dislike having to work on them because of it being time consuming so the best is the only option. Thanks again for your continued help. I have never done ball joints before so please bare with me on this one. Hopefully i can do this myself rather than take it to the garage.

I think by the time you buy the special tools, decide their use, attempt this for the first time (then worry if it's right).

I would consider letting a "Big Truck" (dump trucks and such) Specializing in alignments (not tire sales/or unrelated repairs) diagnose and replace the ball joints.

They would have the tools, be quicker, and know when it is right.

Besides, you are going to need an alignment to finish off the task.

This may help too, prepare for the climate, this is my hot climate solution, it works much of the time.

The more mature, been there awhile guy, is your target.

If its hot out, a cooler with assorted soft drinks, aids in the "good re pore, bonding process".

Sorta casually grab a soda, take a few, "teasing sips".

Apologize!

Then happily force your well stocked and assorted cooler onto them.

You will be their high-light of the day. You will be remembered the next time.I do this at salvage yards, and other places too. Its sorta like a "discount card" at times.

Okay, got it. just take it to the shop. And I have done the free soda thing... the fella started to rip me off telling me he did things without doing them.. became a pricey process.

Yes that worked out just fine, it was a few years ago. On a different jeep that I built. A 1997 jeep Cherokee xj.

So it turns out that the oil leak was not a self fixed. But it does not leak on short trips, only long trips and when it does it comes out quick...
