MAYBE THE COMPRESSOR IS LOCKED UP

ALL IS FINE TILL

THE A/C CLUTCH ENGAGES-IT'S PULLEY THEN STOPS TURNING, THEN THE BELT WON'T TURN

HEATER SETTINGS W/ DEFROST MODES WILL ALSO ENGAGE THE A/C CLUTCH

Is the engine idle speed low? If you keep your foot on the gas, does the compressor engage and turn normally?
