1984 vw van idle's but stalls out when accelerated.

Accidently overfilled with oil. Then changed plugs, it idles fairly well but stalls when accelerated.

DID YOU DRAIN THE OIL AND INSTALL THE PROPER AMOUNT?

Yes we did drain the oil and refilled with proper amount

If the oil level is good, check to make sure you are getting proper fuel pressure to the engine. Also, if the check engine light is on, check for trouble codes. Finally, make sure you didn't accidentally disconnect any sensors or vacuum hoses while you worked on it.
