I have a pontiac Paressen 1984. Every morning it starts with no problem. Seems like after it warms up, it has hard starts. The car runs great. I have replaced the plugs and new fuel filter.

Do you have a feedback carburetor or fuel injection? Any applicable mil codes? When it's hard to start, go with the basics, fuel--spark--compression.

Its carburetor. And it only gives me problems after the car has been running for awhile. I put new plugs, and fuel filter. The car runs great, good power, no funny color ehaust. No problem. Just after it runs for awhile, its hard to start, but usually dose after several tries.

At the moment I suspect a fuel issue of some kind, too much or not enough.

Smell of the crankcase dip stick, where you check the engine oil, can you smell gas? At the moment, I don't think it is your pump. Maybe the carb needs a carb kit?
