Heard a pop from 84 Pontiac Fiero, now wont start

Just bought an 84 Pontiac Fiero Saturday, Insured it Wednesday, took it out for a drive, 5 miles MAX, and died.

Only has 49,000 miles.

Started to accelerate, heard a pop from the engine and lost all RPM's.

The engine turns over, but wont start.

You can smell gas. New gas was put into the car.

Replaced the ignition coil pack today, but still wont start.

Any ideas?

Pull DIST cap crank does rotor spin?

We checked the rotor, and it spins. Replaced both the DIST cap and the Rotor, and still doesn't work.

The spark plug isn't getting a spark.

Been out of town is there power at coil? ECM fuse good?Find ALDL underdash see diagram jumper from AtoB check engine light will flash codes? like flash flash pause flash= 21
