had bad fuel in the tank and was wandering what i could do myself

I had recently broke down slowly on the highway just after i bought fuel and came to a complete stop and now will not start at all, i had drained the tank and it was clear looking not thick green diesel and had a brown tinge look about it, real bad looking when is setteled it went clear, I dropped the tank and rinsed it with petrol bolted it back up with some fresh diesel and replaced the fuel filter but still wont start, what else could i do , flush injector pump or something<< thanks
