1984 accord lx throttle sticks

car has sat for 2yrs. ran fine when parked. I drained gas. Installed new fuel filter. car starts and as soon as i push on gas pedal rpms go up to 5000or more. let off pedal engine stays at 5000rpm or more. I shut car off wait about 5 mins and car will start and if you press gas pedal same thing occurs.

Clean throttle body and check idle control system, start here.

Use a can of carburetor and linkage cleaner. Check the return spring on the throttle body, it may have snapped. Check for kinks or binding in the throttle cable.
