1984 Ford Ranger pick up coil replacement

hello my question today is how to replace a pick up coil on 84 ford ranger 2,4l I want to know if the timing needs to be re adjusted and do you know what are the timing marks if you know what they are I want to replace the coil and I need to know step by step instructions please write back asap thank you!!

the pickup coil I sheld by a couple of screws in dist. it just replaces by r&r. But you need to set an air gap and you need to pull the vacuum diapham in order ot make sure it doesn'thit reluctor. pic is of a v8 but yours is similar. If you check orange and purple wire and it has 400-800 ohms it is ok.
