1984 Chevrolet Silverado Valve Body Repair

"A picture is worth a thousand words". You didn't list the engine size or transmission. What you need is a copy of the manufacturer's service manual. That will have a line drawing showing the location of all the check balls for the Turbo Hydromatic 350, 400, and any others that were available in your truck. Don't waste your money on Chiltons or Haynes manuals for something like this. Those only cover things do-it-yourselfers are expected to tackle.

I have a 1984 chevy silverado pick up truck. It has a 454 engine.
It is a Turbo 400 Transmission.
My question is... 3 check balls came out of the valve body...
Problem is, I have no clue where they came from. So how do I know where to put the check balls at?
If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it..

I have read a couple other forums, and for some reason have only found posts about valve body's that have 6 check balls. Maybe Im not searching hard enough. But I just need to know where these 3 check balls go, before I put everything back together..

I hope you don't think I'm going to be able to describe where they go. Look at all those worm holes and passages, then try to describe one to someone without a picture for reference. You need a service manual, especially if you're going to be doing other repairs on this truck as involved as this. One picture from the manual is all you'll need.
