Hi Medic well we started it today and its making a loud noise now only when starting it and the noise stops and its driving great. I don't know much about cars, I've had the car for 8 months now having things done to it and recently the shop put new brakes. A friend recently said my belts are worn. Noticed the steering fluid is leaking. Also needs a new starter so we're putting in a new starter, fixing leak, and belts checked this week. I'm getting the mechanic to check it but what do you think it is?

try pulling plug wires one at a tiem to see if it stops then pull valve cover and look for a broken pushrod/rocker arm or bad cam
