I have a problem with the brake lights...they won't go on. I have checked the bulbs and both filaments are good in each light. I have checked the fuse good. Replaced it just to make sure. What is next?

brake light switch. check it . it is on the brake pedal

I have located it, how do I check it? the plunger goes in and out ok. No resistance not stuck in either in or out position.
