My brother recently passed away. In his garage was a completely restored MG, absent the engine. He was trying to replace the MG engine with an American six cylinder/4 cylinder engine with some success. My question, is it possible and if so what 4 cylinder American is best suited for the MG and are their mechanics who specialize in this work.

you should find a 4 cylinder that caem form a rear wheeel drive. or a V-6 Camaro is apopular option as there arekits available for this you just need tolook online. then you'll have to find a mechanic willing to do this. ther eis aplace on teh east coast that makes the kits and they may do the complete job but you'll have to see at what cost.
