Unless you're emotionally involved with this car I'd strongly suggest looking for any other model. These cars eat lower ball joints for lunch and were well-noted for them checking fine then separating in as little as 700 miles later leading to a crash into a tree or a semi truck. On any other car when a worn ball joint starts to squeak, it should be replaced soon but you have weeks to get 'er done. With Fords with a squeaking ball joint, you'll want to have it towed to the repair shop so it doesn't come apart on the way there.

Don't want to sway your decision, after all, someone has to buy these cars, buy at least be an informed buyer.
