My BMW was overheating but I still have a question?

The car is a full restore. The engine was taken all the way down to the block and painted. It runs great and only has 2,000 miles on the new motor.

Well. I bought a new thermostat back in april 2011. The car recently started getting really hot. In the red zone. I just borrowed my buddies airlift tool. Pressurized the system, sucked in some water. Now it seems find. I had it idling/running for about 15-20 minutes and it was all good. I even turned the heat on and its fine.

But the hose that comes out of the bottom of the radiator and connects to the thermostat doesn't get has hot as the top hose of the thermostat and the middle hose that goes to the water pump.

Could my radiator be clogged a little, should I take out the thermostat and test it in boiling water, or is that hose supposed to be cooler because it is connected right to the radiator?

That is completely normal. The coolant is sucked into the engine through the bottom hose. When the thermostat opens it goes back into the radiator through the top hose to cool down.
If it is cooling fine then don't worry about which hose is hotter.
