1981 Ford Courier fuel tank

Underneath, from the gas cap to the tank, is it a hose, If so it maybe held on with a hose clamp, take the hose clamp loose, remove the hose. Run a smaller siphon hose into the gas tank. The other end of the hose goes into an approved gas container. You pull a vacuum on hose then stick in gas container.

You might be able to remove gas cap then use long siphon hose, see if it will reach the gas, if it will, you don't even have to get underneath.

If you have an electric fuel pump in the vehicle, you can drain the tank that way. That could cause your fuel pump to heat-up?

I can't see anything from here, just throwing out ideas.

thank you. I gather that contrary to the Clymer manual, there is no drain plug on the Courier fuel tank! Decided to just drop the tank and do a thorough job of cleaning the inside before I refill and restart it. Appreciate all of your wonderful alternative ideas for siphoning, etc.....for a later time perhaps!
