My car sometimes hesitates and does small backfires in the engine area. Runs rough sometimes too. It seems to run better after I drive it for awhile and better weather meaning sunny dry day and warm out. Did tune up, fuel pump replaced, air filter and fuel filter replaced too. Had carborater rebuilt. It looks like EGR Valve was disconnected from owner before me. I don't know what it could be? Especially because it does it on and off. Somebody told me to replace the coil and thought maybe just to get a new carborater? Please give me your advice. Money is tight and just want the car to run like it should. Thank you for your time.

pull valve covers off and see if all valves operate at same height, it may be a worn cam/lifter or rocker arm
