timing sbc with mild build

What's the best way to time sbc with mild build (what degree ) just put 270 comp cam accell hei distributer gear drive edelBrock 650 carb and air gap rpm intake with 2000 stall car got hesitation when stomp on gas never adjust carb since adding all that should I and if so how thanks for any help

Vacuum time it and then readjust the A/F mix and curb idle and check the Carb's accelerator pump circuit-

Do you mean with vacuum advance unpluged also is it true I should be 36 degrees btdc

You need a timing degree wheel to set the ignition timing correctly due to the camshaft you're using-

YOUR ORIGINAL OEM TIMING PROBABLY AIN'T GONNA CUT IT WITH THAT CAM----DID THE "CAM" RECOMMEND THE TIMING SETTING?

IF SO, USE THE NORMAL PROCEDURE, BUT SET IT TO THAT--IF IT'S OFF OF THE SCALE, YOU MAY HAVE TO MAKE YOUR SCALE "BIGGER"

Normally the camshaft comes with the setting instructions of the timing
