I have a 1977 280z base inline 6 engine. I've been trying to turn it on but it seems like no fuel is getting into the fuel injections. what can i do to solve this problem.I have changed the old fuel pump which i found out was still good, i checked the relay and it seems to be clicking when i try and turn on the car, i put starter fluid into the injection and it turns on but it doesn't stay on because it doesnt get any more gas

check to see if pump is getting power to it. I got a diagram and check to see if the fusible llink is good by battery and where I've pointed out it may be a broken wire leading to pump. shold have 36-38 psi I thought it said.

Ok I trite looking for the fuel pressure regulator but I couldn't find the location of it in the engine bay. I also ran into another problem every time I try to crank the engine I get a big thud. I replaced the starter but that didn't do the job. Please help me I really wanna get this car running asap thank you!

see it it will turn over by hand I imagine it won't due to the thud you heard. then check to see if pump is getting power not the regulator. then take to a repair shop as this seems a little above your capabilities

read other reply if you can't turn it over by h and it's probably a seized engine. that is why you get the thud. we can't fix your car for you best advice is to get a manual and follow that.
