Electrical problem 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 110,00 miles
Hello Need to remove and replace the ignition lock cylinder on a 1977 G10 Chevy van. The lock cylinder and ignition switch unit are dash mounted.
Have been adsvised to use a pin to depress the spring latch at the lower end of the lock cylinder. The claim is that the dash mounted and steering column method for depressing the spring latch are the same.
However, I can see no method of depressing that spring latch on the dash mounted system as it would appear to require a 90 degree horizontal pin p[lacement to the lock cylinder to achieve that.
Would you kindly advise exactly how to depress that spring latch on the dash mounted system.
Thank you very much and it is greatly appreciated.
