hello I just took my rear hubs off the left one is leaking fluid but the whole shoe assembly moves from side to side.do you know why as when driving it clunks when you touch the brake?

There should be 2 pins one for each shoe through the backing plate and and shoe and secured with a round clip, call anti rattle clips, are they missing?
