1975 Dodge Truck Pickup stalls when revving it

My '75 Dodge W100 with a '69 318 industrial stalls when I rev it. It only does it when I its not moving. I'll turn the engine on and it will idle pretty well. I put it in either reverse or drive and when I even touch the gas the engine runs really bad. If I keep revving it stalls. If I stop revving it goes back to idling fine. To make it move I have to feather the gas. After it starts moving it revs fine and I don' have any problems. In the past month I've replaced the battery cables, resistor, coil, cap, points, condenser, and plugs. In the past year I've replaced the fuel pump, plug wires, and rebuilt the carb. Ideas? Also, I'm 16 and doing a lot of guessing on it, so please be detailed.

How is everything. Not having much luck with this vehicle, are you. So let me understand, once the vehicle is moving, it is fine. However, when it idles and you hit the gas, or when it is first put into gear and hit the gas, it runs poorly. Correct? If so, are you certain the accelerator pump is working? Sure there are no vacuum leaks?

Yeah its a $700 pos, but I knew that when I got it. It gives me something to do. I don't think there are any vaccuum leaks. I haven't gauged it but I don't hear any. I'll check the pump.

I understand what you mean. This kind of thing helps keep one's mind occupied. Check the accelerator pump. Just open the choke (engine off) and throttle the carb a few times. You should see a spray of fuel shooting into the venture. Also, if you get a chance, check intake vacuum and let me know what you find. It should be around 17.

It was a vacuum leak. I checked the vacuum and it stays really steadily at 20. I hooked the old hose up when I was done, and decided to see if taking the old hose off and putting it back on had done anything. The truck ran perfectly and when I put it in reverse it moved without even hesitating. Thanks for the help!
