New crate 350 cu in v8 with professionally rebuilt Edelbrock Quadjet carb, new fuel pump, new pcv valve, elec choke and all vacuum lines plugged except vac advance and pcv inlet; starts easily but doesn't idle at low rpms. After 7 to 10 minutes of reving at 2,000 rpms, engine starts to backfire thru exhaust. No power and exhaust smells like unburned gas.
