My car cranked over and I got it to work. When I came back to my car it would no longer crank so I got it towed home. The next morning I get in it and it would not crank, but I put it in neutral and then it started. I ended up replacing the neutral safety switch on the transmission (it was the most common theme in posts I read online) and was able to start up the car in park again. I drove it around the neighborhood and made sure I ran through all the gears. When I got home I turned it off and tried to start it up again in park and in neutral, which it did with no problem. I then decided to let it sit until the next morning to make sure it would start again. When I got in it this morning to leave it would not start or crank in any gear. I went on with my day and came home four hours later got in my car and it cranked from park again. I have no idea what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check battery for condition including load test most places do for free as well as check charging system. it may be the switch on firewall I forget what the hell they call it , been so long. also make sure battery terminal ends are clean and free of any goop, grease etc. if you had put Battery protector on terminals get rid of it as battery heats up and that crap goes between the posts making poor contact.
