Is there a secret I should know when replacing the fuel sending unit in my 1972 CougarXR7.

Just bought the unit and thought I'd ask about pitfalls prior to running into them.

no, just be careful removing the unit as you can bend the rod easily and that will make the readings wrong. use a new seal when replacing and make sure the connector is in good condition.
