1970 Ford Mustang knocking sound in 351 windsor

I have a 1970 mustang that has a 1974 351 Windsor.engine in it.

We replaced the main bearings and the timing chain and everything is running correctly (valves are good, emissions is good, timing good, compression Good) but it knocks loudly.. It sounds like it is coming from the lower portion of the engine but we cannot seem to be able to locate the knocking.

We removed the valve covers and it does not appear to come from there.

Any suggestions?

YOU DID PUT OIL BACK IN? (HAD TO ASK)

WHEN YOU PUT THE CAPS BACK ON

THEY WENT BACK TO THE SAME EXACT LOCATIONS? WERE THEY MARKED/ LABELED AS TO WHERE THEY BELONG (LAST FELLER MAY HAVE HAD 'EM WRONG?)

WHAT ABOUT ONE MAYBE DIDN'T "BED IN" (MEANING IT'S COCKED-ONE SIDE IS HANGING ON THE EDGE, HIGHER THAN THE OTHER SIDE) SOMETIMES THIS MIGHT BE HARD TO SEE, WHEN THEY ARE CRAMMED DURING TORQUING

CORRECT BEARING SIZES? MANY A TIME I'VE SEEN 4 OR 5 BOXES (OF ANYTHING) SCATTERED ON THE PARTS COUNTER. THE CUSTOMER KEEPS TABS ON THE BOX HE FINALLY WANTS, THE REMAINDER GETS CRAMMED IN ANY OLE BOX, TO EXPEDITE HIS DEPARTURE!
