Hi, 5.9L 360 engine and need help or advice to see what wrong with it. It all started last week the day before the big freeze. I was driving and all of a sudden it turned off on me and did not want to turn back on. I assumed it was due to the cold or something relating to it. It was running perfectly fine before. It tries to turn on but it will not so several people told me that it was the ignition coil, distributor cap. So I changed it to a brand new one. Nothing it would just spin. So they told it was the distributor since there was no fire coming out so I changed it and nothing it tries to turn but nothing it just backed fired really bad. Someone else told me that it was the timing chain so I removed everything and the timing chain was really loose so I bought a new timing chain with the gears and put it on. It solved the back fire and it just spins. I am really frustrated because now that I have change the ignition coil, distributor cap, distributor, timing chain and plus the the wire and the spark plugs are also new I really do not know what wrong with it. I have no money to get a mechanic to check what is wrong with because I wasted in parts and my wife's truck need the fixing. Can someone out there that can help me out with this issue or give me advice to what can be wrong with my truck? I would greatly appreciate it. Have a great day.
