1968 Mustang Neutral Switch?

I am restoring a 68 mustang with a 289 V8 and am having some difficulty. The car appears to be wired correctly and will turnover if power is jumped across the starter relay, however it will not try to turnover or do anything when using the switch. I have checked the wiring and I am getting power to switch but it is acting like the ignition is locked. Could the neutral safety switch be causing this issue, or is there something else I should check?

It's possible but you would have to test for power in and out of it. Try shifting it into neutral and see if that changes any thing.

Check and test the NSS if okay next area will be the ignition switch

The NSS seems to be bad, I bypassed it and the car will now turn over. At this point I am still not able to start the car as I am not getting fire to my sparkplugs. I have power everywhere else that I need it and I am getting fuel. I have electricity at my points but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere from the distributor. To my knowledge the distributor has never been removed so the seal underneath shouldn't be bad and the engine was running when I purchased it. Any suggestions?

Check the point gap and test the condenser-also the rotor and cap condition

I have replaced the rotor, cap, and condenser. when i crank the car i get one good spark across the points then nothing.

The points are new as well by the way...cap and rotor have been replaced twice with same result. I replace the coil all fixed FYI
