I have tried Moog and NAPA replaceable part and neither one will fit my car the joint stud is bigger than the one I have and will not fit into spindle. I was told they changed them in late 1961. Everyone has 1960 to 1965 as the same part. I need the part number and a place to order them.

Thanks,
Scott

AC Delco makes the lower front, complete arm w/ball joint their part number is 45D3001 If you search Amazon you can find them for $48 each. It looks like it should fit your car.

Hey Admin i am so glad you knew what was going on with this part. Could you do everyone in the future that could run into this problem report this to ford and to the manufacturer of this parts. I went to 5 different places spoke with 10 different people on the phone and no one had a clue about this problem but you 4 days later. One guy took weeks of investigation for him to find out about. I put this part number in one of those check and make sure this part will work for you car on ebay.. and that part number you gave told me in red this part will not work for a 1962 comet. I ask the guy over a ACdelco to pass the word on because he really ticked me off because I ask for the measurements of that piece he told me he acdelco who makes this part where he is employed has no illustrations of it. I ask so you have no tape measure either. or you just to lazy to check it or maybe have someone get the measurement and have someone do a investigation on this issue. I see where people have complained about this before and all the time wasted because and aggravation it causes to have someone to get this right after 52 years..

Thanks,
I see why you do what you do see if you can get it changed.

Hi Scott,
Finding parts for Vintage vehicles can be difficult. The search I did shows it should fit your car, but as you have experienced sometimes they are wrong.
