Door lock was sounding like slipping gear when I turn on or off starting key switch. This happened two years ago.

Question is, if I keep the car running under this condition would any further damage may happen?

Thanks

The gear slipping noise is the sound of a door lock actuator that has worn out. As you have heard and guessed, there is a gear that is slipping. Continuing to drive it as it is will not cause other problems. The actuator will get worse. So if it is currently still pushing the door lock as needed, eventually that will stop happening. I was hoping to give you a diagram of the inside of the door and the actuator, but it does not appear to exist. Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.

Thanks for replied my question. Do you have the answer for another problem that is my rear lights and LED top row were on all time even I turned ignition key off. it happened two days ago. I wish this is a simpler electrical blown fuse and need your expertise.
I checked fuses map but can not find related fused.
Thank you.

That is probably a sign of a brake light switch that is failing. Please go ahead and start a new thread/question for that and one of us will definitely be able to dig in to it. Thanks!
