Hey there, I have a Donor car 2000 Bonneville SSEI i bought for $250. For the intent on replacing my 02 Grand Prix. But the Bonneville interior was completely ragged out. But both the supercharged 3.8 motor and the 4t65e transmission works surprisingly well. No hiccups, no shudders, and the fact that it is 240,00? So, this kind of gave me an idea. Found me a 2009 Buick Lucerne CXL with a bad 3.9. It's been kind of hard to find a Park Avenue Ultra. So, I'll just create my own. Perfect ls4 project someday. But for now, I need to know actually what all I need from the Bonneville? I know the engine and trans can fit. I think I can still use the 3.9 motor mounts and transmission mounts just because it's sturdier. I know i need the engine wiring harness from the Bonneville and i know i need a custom boost gauge. But what else do I need?

Swapping the supercharged 3.8 engine and 4T65E transmission from your 2000 Bonneville SSEI into a 2009 Buick Lucerne CXL can be an interesting project.

Okay, I've done a bit more research. Is there a way you can show me a diagram from a 2000 Bonneville ssei engine wiring harness and trans harness and the diagram from a 2008 Lucerne 3.8 engine and trans wiring harness. I should be able to use the 2000 wiring harness, but I would have to convert over some plugs and maybe a few sensors from an '08 or older Lucerne. Same for the 2000 ssei engine wiring, i'd have to convert some adatpers over. But it'll be cheap. But also, I would have to buy and reprogram an '08 Lucerne 3.8 ecu to match my vin which that wouldnt be a problem anyway. But its have to be 2008 and below because since my '09 cxl is more like a carryover, the only major difference between the 2008 3.8 ecu vs the 2009 3.9 ecu is just the motor and trans. So, I have to use the Bonneville ssei trans wiring and convert them over to the newer plug, just not from an 2009 model. Also, I'll feel I can order an upgraded 2000 and up Fuel Pump, that's meant for 3.8 Supercharged applications. But the factory Lucerne exhaust can fit, it'll be a bit restricted but that'll be just temporary. But yes, my 2009 cxl model is mostly just a carryover except for the change of the engine and transmission. So, the lucerne's drivetrain and axles is fine, I'm not trying to build a race car here, lol. But lastly however, I'd also like to have a diagram for the 2000 Bonneville ssei cooling system and the diagram for the 2008 Lucernes cooling system? I feel I would have to adapt some hoses from both the Lucerne and Bonneville to make this work, just not by too much. So just in case, I'd like to be prepared.

Sounds fun, I can give you the info you need but can I ask if you start new question for each piece of information needed beside what I have included here? We only handle one information thread at a time. Here is the 2000 Bonneville ssei engine wiring harness and transmission harness diagrams. Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes

I think I made a mistake. The engine can work but not the transmission and the seller backed out last minute. So, this project just got folded. Good news, I'd try a l67 swap for a 2005 DTS Premium. I'll make a new forum soon as I do more research.
