OBD issues due to passenger seat and back passenger side were full of water ankle high and may have burnt out the box under the passenger seat

So I just recently purchased the car listed above 4matic that was having electrical issues. The passenger seat and back passenger side were full of water ankle high and it most possibly burnt out the box under the passenger seat. I am unable to get any readings using my OBD sensor on the car. Any ideas or suggestions?

Have you checked to see if pin 16 in the data link connector has power? Do that. Also, check for any fuse issues.

No. If the scanner is turning on, then it's not a power issue. Was anything other than water in the vehicle? Did anyone work on wiring or other components?

No one worked on any other wiring, once we emptied out the water we took the passenger seat out and disconnected the module and all the wiring under the seat. We reconnected the OBD sensor and still getting no connection. Power, but no connection.

Check all fuses for ignition, and powertrain control modules. Possibly something blew.

I checked all the fuses and none of them are blown. How do I check the power train control module?

The only thing you can do is see if there is power to it. However, it may not be a bad idea to check the large connector plug to see if there is corrosion in it.

So I've checked all the fuses and the cables. Currently the OBD scanner is trying to read and gets stuck on ISO 9141-2 and then gives the error message that it can't read. Help? Lol

I looked up what you identified. It gave me two things. First, this is a code specific to the US. Second it indicates a memory fault.

Here is what it indicates:

(USA) In line with legal requirements, faults can also be read at the data link connector conforming to SAE standard, ISO 9141-2, with a generic scan tool.

What kind of scanner are you using? Are you sure the water was limited to what you saw? There are actual fiber optic cable modules. At this point, anything is possible.
