03 Alero 2.2 ecotec Battery charging light comes on and off

My battery charging light comes on and off out of random. I have no idea what the problem is it started yesterday evening. I haven't tried anything with it yet. My dad has checked all the wiring and it all seems to be fine he says. I have no idea what to look for or what is wrong with my car. I just bought it in August its my first car ever and I am now worried that this might be a big problem or something that can't be fixed.
please help me

check the gthings I've pointed out in pic it may be the fusible link only has a few strands connecting so check that carefully. it may be the dash going bad as well. also clean terminal ends on battery and if you know when belt was replaced last you might try the belt and tensioner as they should be replaced every 60k

I don't see any picture. my dad did something with the battery he said it isn't holding a charge.

sorry dummy me I forgot to put the pic in lol. Have the battery checked for condition including load test. auto parts/tire stores do this for free.
