loose hose?

one end is attached in pic and the other is just hanging with the plastic thingy in the end. What is this, where does it go?

is this related to the 0455 code displaying?

That hose is a vent for the rear differential and does not connect to anything, but it should be clipped to the frame above the differential. It will not create the p0455 code so please start another question for it.
